RESIDENCE FOR YOUR PARENTS
Are you interested in having your parents reside in Spain? I want you to know that there are two alternatives that could depend on you:
- FAMILY REUNIFICATION: You can apply if you are a resident in Spain (but do not have European nationality) and your parents are over 65 years old. To apply for it your parents cannot be in Spain.
- RESIDENCE OF A FAMILY MEMBER OF AN EU CITIZEN: You can apply if you reside in Spain and you have a European nationality. To apply, your parents must be in Spain.
In both cases, you must prove, among other things, that your parents are financially dependent on you and are also dependent on you.
In order to be approved, this residency must meet strict requirements, so I always suggest evaluating its viability before applying for it.
