Who should not take the Cervantes test?

If you are going to apply for Spanish Nationality by Residence, you must fulfill one requirement, and that is to present the Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain test (CCSE test), which is elaborated by the Cervantes Institute and therefore known as the CERVANTES TEST.

Who is exempt from taking the CCSE test?

  • Minors.
  • Persons with modified capacity justifiably.

Who has a degree of studies carried out in SPAIN and issued by the Ministry of Education, which can be:

  • Compulsory Secondary Education.
  • Baccalaureate.
  • Vocational Training or University Degrees.

They may request a waiver:

  • Persons over 70 years of age and
  • Those who cannot read and write.
