If you are traveling to Spain you must have a valid passport (Venezuelan passports are accepted with a valid extension).
Also remember that:
- ONLY expired Venezuelan passports are accepted to apply for procedures at the foreigners' offices, including fingerprinting.
- To register you must have a valid passport, in case you do not have a TIE.
- To apply for Spanish nationality, we recommend that the passport is valid, although you can apply with an expired passport, we have seen requirements requesting a valid passport.
