There are two scenarios:
MINORS BORN IN SPAIN: If you reside in Spain LEGALLY and your child is born in Spanish territory, he/she will acquire the SAME residence authorization that you hold, some of these residences are:
- Temporary residence.
- Residence for family reunification, or
- Long-term residence.
In the case of ASYLUM applicants; their children born in Spain may be beneficiaries of the protection they have.
MINORS NOT BORN IN SPAIN: Minors NOT born in Spain, children of NON-COMMUNITY RESIDENT aliens (Non-European), will be able to obtain:
- Family Reunification (if they are in their country of origin) or
- Residence permit when proof of CONTINUOUS residence in Spain for a MINIMUM of TWO years.
