Royal Decree 889/2022, of October 18, which establishes the NEW procedure for the homologation and equivalence of foreign university degrees in Spain, has been published and came into force on November 8.
With this new procedure, the aim is to be faster in the resolutions of homologation and/or equivalence, since with the previous system the response takes between two and three years, now the Commission for Technical Analysis of Homologations and Declarations of Equivalence is created, which promises to resolve the files in only SIX months.
The process will continue to be carried out before the Ministry of Universities in a completely electronic procedure, either by the applicant or through a representative.
