A bill has been presented that will aim to create in the next 6 months a procedure for the massive regularization of the almost 470,000 foreigners who are in Spain in an irregular situation.
Currently, the alternatives offered by the Immigration Law 4/2000 are insufficient, with restrictive criteria that are difficult to comply with, in addition to the long waiting periods and the bureaucracy existing in the institutions for their correct granting and even renewal.
So, we hope that in the next 6 months new alternatives will materialize that will make more flexible the regularization of all foreigners who have arrived in Spain before November 1, 2021.
In conclusion: The Government, by means of a Royal Decree, will establish, within 6 months, a procedure for the regularization of foreigners who are in Spanish territory before November 1, 2021.
