Once you initiate the process of International Protection you will have access to two different identification documents, these are:
- WHITE LEAF: It is valid for 9 months, with it you are given your NIE (Foreigner's Identity Number), being able to be identified will allow you to perform various procedures such as applying for a health card, open a bank account, contract services such as electricity, water, internet.
- RED CARD: You get it when you renew the white sheet, its real name is "Documento acreditativo de la condición de solicitantes en tramitación de protección internacional", and it is valid for 6 months.
BEWARE! With these documents you will not be allowed to cross borders, so you will not be able to leave the Spanish territory.
